That looks like a looooooong way down! (I hope it's just an optical illusion!)
ReplyDeleteI ONCE HAD A SHADOW
I once had a shadow—or did it have me?
My shadow and I could never agree.
I would say something, she’d say the reverse;
Our arguments flared, my lips I would purse,
Refusing to speak to her anymore—
So my shadow got up and marched out the door!
I have not seen her from that day to this—
That’s one stubborn shadow I surely don’t miss!

I don't have vertigo, but that looks steep! At least the dark look down is tempered by light and the dappled shadows. It may be steep, but looks elegant here!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful shadows, Margaret. And what a clean carpet! I'm envious. Can I send you my golden retriever for a while? :o)
ReplyDeleteLove your photo. I agree with Ralph, an elegant stairway indeed.

What a great mixture of lines and angles, plus a sense of height that's not always easy to capture. The little pool of light adds to the mixture. Is this the stairway to your apartment?
ReplyDeleteNice steep ShadowShot! Looks like those stairs would be great exercise if taken on a daily basis. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove that little square of light at the bottom - great composition!! Catherine, Mexico (have had trouble posting a comment - Google just sends me on a neverending loop....don't know why!!)
ReplyDeleteNot your daily steps to go home? :)
ReplyDeleteHave a good week ahead!
Nice shot! I wouldn't fancy climbing those stairs a little tipsy!
ReplyDeleteNicely captured....i like your theme picture.
ReplyDelete- Vrinda.
Ohhhhhhhhhhh, I look, I see...I see a great way to exercise with all those shadowed steps. Wonderful photo, and perfect blog post title too.
ReplyDeleteVintage 1930's Basketball Team is my Shadow Shot today. Do stop by if you can find time.
Happy Sunday!!!
a rare indoor shot - love the perspective too. the light/shadows are soothing and it feels like home.
ReplyDeleteI love your sepia shadows. A very deep stair I think. Artistic shot!
ReplyDeleteI love this one. It takes me on a long journey.
