SEEN AT THE DIABETES THRIFT STORE YESTERDAY, THE GOTTFRIED PRINT IDENTIFIES HUMPHREY BOGART, MARILYN MONROE, JAMES DEAN AND ELVIS AS THE BAR TENDER. HOPPER'S PAINTING IS ABOUT LONELINESS; GOTTFRIED'S PAINTING COMPOUNDS THE SENSE BY REPLACING HOPPER'S FIGURES WITH STARS KNOWN TO HAVE HAD TRAGIC FATES.

Serendipity! You found a great coupling. There is certainly an air of enormous sadness about the whole picture. I often consider the sad lives of the famous and I think you captured it beautifully.
