SKY WATCH FRIDAY - A MATERIALISTIC INTERRUPTION...

 Recalling Septimus's dreamy interpretation of skywriting in Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf!

(In the novel, Septimus is a shell-shocked veteran and sees the world differently.  The skywriting that everyone else in London sees he sees as a signal to himself, whereas it is actually an advertisement for toffee).

  3. Puffs rather than streaks! Unusual. But I can't get the message and you must have got a stiff neck! We could do with some of your blue; this is the wettest July for 60 years!

  4. Is that really skywriting? Amazing!

    SKY SONG

    Glowing moon and shining stars,
    Venus, Jupiter and Mars,
    Planets swirling round the sun;
    Darkness falls when day is done.

    In the vast and endless sky
    Eagle, wren and falcon fly;
    Over hill and dale they roam,
    Calling cloud and thunder home.
