SKYWATCH FRIDAY- LOOKING EAST, ACROSS THE RIVER TO BROOKLYN FROM NEW YORK:

 As the sun moves west, the light momentarily catches skyline landmarks in the east, revealing a complex of domes on the New York side of the river that I had not noticed before.

Seen from my 10th floor kitchen window in downtown Manhattan.

  1. Those odd-looking structures in the foreground look like upside down wineglasses!

    STORYTELLER

    The sky, whether deep blue or grey,
    Has stories to tell every day;
    So if the day’s clear,
    Be sure to draw near—
    The heavens know just what to say!

  3. That is an outstanding shot of the skyline. I can not imagine living on the 10th floor of any building. That is getting pretty high for me.

  4. Good shot of the shadows and the bright sunlight.

  5. A beautiful, soft sky highlighting those shiny domes! This almost looks like a photo from Middle Eastern worlds!
