...and on being curbed -

    For more wonderful SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY photos do visit HEYHARRIET here!

PS   ON BEING CURBED

   Send a message to Mayor Bloomberg: DO NOT REDUCE THE NUMBER OF 'STREET ARTISTS' in New York City - they are not the problem for *tourists, as are the panhandlers and the hawkers.  PLEASE SCROLL BACK TO THE HEADER FOR INFORMATION about the Mayor's intention to curb the STREET ARTIST'S FREEDOM OF SPEECH!

SEND A PROTEST TO THE MAYOR HERE:   http://www.nyc.gov./html/mail/html/mayor.html

Tourists = national and international!

  1. Very nice interesting shadow shot. I can get lost in it. I am realizing that shadows are intricate yet deceptively simple. Very intrigueing offering. Thanks.

    Peace.

  2. LOVE that shot! I just submitted a message to your Mayor Bloomberg. While I don't live in NYC, I have hopes of visiting one day. And when I visit I also have hopes of seeing lots of street artists!

  3. A clever play on words with Kerb and curb! But I couldn't ever back your project without seeing how disruptive your artist friends might be! Who knows....I might end up on the other side! Artists displaying are a joy; ANYONE underfoot is a nuisance. Persuade me!

  4. Great shot! I hope the street artists get their way or some of the colour will go out of NYC life.

  6. Cool shadow, looks mighty sticky...ha!

    Even we are starting to see the pan-handlers on the corners by our grocery store, don't like to see this, even in Iowa!

  7. Great shadows of curves on curbs.

    I read your post on the Mayor's proposal and I think it is totally unfair, these artists are a part of NYC's culture. I will be submitting a message to the mayor.
