SKYWATCH FRIDAY - A PALE SUN SHOWED BUT FOR A MOMENT, THEN WAS GONE

Taken from my constant position at the kitchen window (10th floor NYC).     A month ago the sun was rising to the far right of the chimneys!

PS  The latest news is that volcanic ash is covering the skies of northern europe, closing down
airports.

  1. Great shot! Hope you'll be seeing more sun soon. I was just noticing last night that the sun is setting far to the right of where it was two months ago. Amazing, I'd never paid that much attention before! Have a great weekend!

  3. This view of the sun is almost exactly the view that we get when it's going to be a stinking hot day! Then, as it gets hotter, the mist 'burns off'. But I don't imagine this was the case with you!

  4. It's very interesting to track the passage of the sun through your photographs. I hope the sun will shine more vibrantly for you very soon.
(It's very peaceful here - no aircraft. Apparently birdsong can be heard at Heathrow . . . )
