SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY - OLD FASHIONED GAS STOVE...

I wish we could all go back to gas and forget about nuclear!

In a modern apartment in NYC I am stuck with an electric stove.  My blogger friend Mary Westring has a gas line to her building, so she chose a 1920s style gas stove to cook on!  Lots of shadows here for the visiting photographer!

  3. All good cooks prefer gas. That's probably why I don't care either way. But cooking nuclear! That certanly hasn't reached Oz yet!

  4. Fantastic close up photo.

    I, personally, prefer electric EVERYthing. I almost died when I was a teen with gas poisoning...electric is safer.

  5. There are nuclear stoves? (Just kidding!)

    I ALMOST LOST MY SHADOW

    I almost lost my shadow,
    I left it in the park;
    I heard my mommy calling,
    For it was getting dark;

    She has no use for shadows,
    She thinks they are quite grim,
    And when she saw my shadow,
    She thought it was a “him.”

    I had to educate her
    And tell her it was “she”—
    And now my faithful shadow
    Is welcome as can be!

  7. What a great looking old stove, it must be a real trooper to still be around. I had an old gas stove at my apartment in Alaska, I loved it.
    This one certainly produced some wonderful shadows.
