MACRO FLOWERS SATURDAY - A MEME THAT IS BACK ON LINE AGAIN...

An artichoke flower - found in Stuyvesant Square Park, NYC, growing in the shade on a very tall stem.

CORRECTION (22.5.11): Blogger, printmaker and gardening friend, Mary Westring, confirms
that this is an onion flower, possibly an alium.  The artichoke flower looks like this:

  5. The square format centered works well for this beauty. Nice image Margaret. I can tell the difference between Maddy and Livvy. Livvy is a bit chunkier and it shows in her face.
