MONOCHROME MONDAY - GRACE EPISCOPAL CHURCH

On 4th Avenue, opposite the Post Office on 11th Street.

Its Gothic architecture, rescued, maintained, slowly but surely: offering free Bach on Wednesdays, an independent junior school for 400 students and a modern playground weekdays, and lots more besides for the community.

This photograph is for monochrome weekend because something old sometimes looks better than something new.  (An aesthetically pleasing, ancient and modern, renovation has been quietly going on here for years)

  1. The dark central portion throws the side areas into very crisp definition and I definitely think this scene lends itself to monochrome.

  2. I really like the perspective on the first shot. The cross walk markings draw the eye to the center of the structure.

  3. The first shot is my favourite - so much pattern and setail.
