RUBY TUESDAY 2: A REGIMENT OF BEEFSTEAK TOMATOES -

OFTEN CALLED 'BEEFEATERS',  THE NAME OF THE QUEEN'S YOEMAN OF THE GUARD WHO, HISTORIANS BELIEVE, IN OLDEN DAYS RECEIVED BEEF AS PART OF THEIR WAGES.....


 
    As the vendor was marshaling his guard, a queue formed to buy them.   One is for Ruby!

  1. Ah, the beautiful beefsteak varietal. I see it in a summer salad paired with mozzarella, basil and balsamic vinegar. Stunning these fruits are, our potted tomatoes will be available in August. So, we will longingly at this ruby...
