I am reminded of the movie, BABETTE'S FEAST - a woman flees from the French civil war and lands in a small seacoast village in Denmark.  The villagers' austere existence is changed by her arrival to its lonely shores.  An evocative take on how a community is brainwashed into thinking that austerity is the way to live.  They needed a change and they got it - deliciously!
