SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY - 00PS!

Grace Episcopal Church at 10th and Broadway, NYC

PS:  OCCUPY WALL STREET PROTESTERS ARE NOT WELCOME AT St. PAUL'S in London -
Reportedly, "...it is doing everything possible, and then some, to dampen the protesters".  It has closed and locked its oak doors this last week to parishioners...
Visit here for a great visual message by the infamous street artist Banksy

  1. WTH! I've been following OWS too. Too bad the press practically ignores it. If it was 200 Tea Partiers the news people would be scrambling to cover it.

  4. The spire of the cathedral looks as though it has suffered a great fright!

    SHADOW SHOW

    Shadows creeping through the land,
    Shadows dark on every hand—
If they should begin to glow,
You had better run, you know!

  5. I don't understand why the OWS protesters annoy people. the things I see written and the things that are said about them, I don't get it. why do we have to be so divided even in protest? isn't the message the same, no matter if they're tea party or OWS? something is broken and we'd like to call attention to it and have the issues addressed. damn, I'm just so fed up with the great divide in this country. great shadow shot by the way Margaret!

  7. Wonderful shadow shot, Margaret, and I like the Banksy sculpture, too.
Why all the fuss about protesting in free countries? I'm a Canadian but it seems to me Americans have something about the right to free assembly somewhere, maybe the Declaration of Independence? The present Canadian government loves to ride roughshod over protestors and is happy to have the police throw them into jail.
Sigh. It isn't the 60s any more. Unfortunately, it's MY 60s and I'm in no shape to be hit in the head by mounted policemen, or else I'd be out there protesting, too.

  8. A very bendy cathedral tower! So symbolic! As if we have bent our sense of balanced beliefs!

  9. When I look at this unusual shot I get the feeling that am unwell! It very cleverly mimics the disorientation of giddiness.

  10. I read that some politicians are after regression tax - that's not good in US! You have already too huge gap between poor and rich. It's not fair if rich and poor pay 9/15/20 % tax - rich MUST pay more otherwise your country will be in total chaos and poor will be poorer...not good!
I do hope politicians would work for the people...
    Peace!
