WEEKEND REFLECTIONS - THE VIEW, famous for its revolving eatery in Times Square...and Spider-Man's girlfriend tries to rescue him from the Green Goblin....
The best time to dine here is following a matinee performance. Another plus is that there is no disturbing music or background noise. Hooray! We could talk and enjoy our own party!
PS We went to see SPIDER-MAN
Turn Off The Dark
A awesome graphic extravaganza! 'Superman' has come a long way since I was born and
he's not the heroic solo anymore - I do believe I saw an aborted attempt to save him as
his girlfriend dangled helplessly in the dark, trying to rescue her intrepid boyfriend
in the final fight with the Green Goblin. What is the sad message here? Long Live

SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY 2 - LOOKING-UP, FORWARD AND BEYOND TODAY, MY BIRTHDAY - A TRIBUTE.....
Today, I remember my friends who, about 4 years ago, introduced me to, and coached me in the techniques of posting blogs - respectively, my long-time comedic friend Brenda of RINKLY RIMES and Manhattan neighbor Elizabeth of ABOUT NEW YORK, both brilliant in what they say and do without missing a beat! I am also happy, and fortunate, to be continuing to live this long (fingers crossed) to be able to combine both the verbal and the visual in one, aesthetically beautiful tool, the Apple, thanks to the brilliance of Steve Jobs. Not to forget to mention my favorite Geeks, Sarah, my daughter, and Jenna Basmagy (our friend now living in Italy), whose know-how is INCREDIBLE and useful and, yes, we all use Skype in emergencies!

WEEKEND REFLECTIONS - MAKING GIANT-SIZE BUBBLES TODAY IN UNION SQUARE PARK, NYC -
All you need: two bamboo sticks, a length of rope tied to the top of each one,
with another loop below. Dip all into a bucket of bubbly. Stand with your back to the breeze, open up the sticks and allow the beginning bubble to expand to maximum size. The kids couldn't wait to have a go! Mr. Bubbly says he just lost his job and this is much more fun - it pleases a crowd no end
and waiting for the big one just kept one hanging in there!

SKY WATCH FRIDAY - SORTING OUT THE MYSTERY OF New York's SUN RISE APPEARANCE ON FEBRUARY 29 (THE LEAP YEAR OF 2012)....
At 7 am the sun rises above the first horizontal split of cloud formation, its glow above the split, like the sun itself, seems to give the impression of a double sunrise - was this a leap year gift to us all, one wonders!
