This is Missy, the indoor house kitten, and Shadow, the homeless, outdoor cat. Shadow is one of four other homeless cats that visit - the others are too frightened to make the signal, even after being fed.
A snippet from WHY CATS PAINT (1994), a theory of feline aesthetics. A book I found by chance at a used book store. A wonderfully researched, serious and humorous study, illustrated. For more information go to http://www.freddie-street.com/guide/wcpaint.shtml

No wonder the cats' tails look like question marks! I'd love to imagine the conversation!
ReplyDeleteOh, so cute -- the two of them. I'm glad you're able to help out the homeless cat too. Very nice photo.
