This is a spontaneous photograph of a butterfly (or moth) that landed on my back as I was talking to Donna Lee Michas, Photographer and Street Artist, who exhibits her work in Union Square Park daily, except when it rains. A passerby had spotted it and Donna promptly shot it for me for Macro Monday! I am thrilled to be showing one of Donna's many brilliant photographs, this one framed an' all! What a beautiful butterfly, it reminds me of a Painted Lady but I am not an expert on butterflies. It appears the wing is damaged.
