They do make great shadow shots, don't they! I love it! Hope you're having a great weekend!

The patterns created by the usually nondescript fire escape is amazing. We view the ladders as a safety device, which they truly are. But given the bright sky, this big city detail looks great!
ReplyDeleteOK, that fire escape shadow shot is too cool for words! Great capture! I love it.
ReplyDeleteI do love your NYC fire escapes! You've captured so much in this shot. It's fantastic!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, finely tuned shadow lines! Love how they seem to fall like a pseudo fire escape! Great shot!
ReplyDeleteAn intriguing shot. At first I thought it was monochrome, till I saw the orange streaks! Your life is full of angles!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo. The fire escape and the shadows almost create an abstract design. It is also reminiscent of Escher's work.
ReplyDeleteCheck out my shadows this week HERE.
So very urban...AND SUNNY!!! We haven't had much of that these days and 5-10 inches on the way...however, I just heard a robin, so help is on the way!!!
ReplyDeleteUp the fire escape
ReplyDeleteor down? Which way do I go
when in New York Town?

This is such a New York classic
ReplyDeleteand a very beautiful one.
Yes, I have read the Jed Rubenfeld and loved it.
Read it in Florence in one day I think.
Hope to see you next week --weather permitting!
great shot - water towers and fire escapes - the TWO things I love to take photos of in NY - thanks so much for being on my wavelength and giving me some great architectural shots to view - will be in NY Aug 6th - 13th
ReplyDeleteI'm with CJ. Very Escheresque.
ReplyDeleteA couple of rust streaks bring us back to reality.
Cheers!
