WEEKEND REFLECTIONS - Gandhi always remembered in Union Square, NYC

ALAS, NOT EVERYTHING HE HAS SAID, IS -

(See Saturday's shake the pillow day below - it was not exactly non-violent!)

Sculptor: K.B.PATEL - India                                         The pink Magnolia

"The future depends on what we do in the present" - Gandhi 1869-1948

A simple common sense quotation to think about but, evidently, so difficult to grasp and be understood by military chiefs of warfare when defensive and offensive options present themselves.
I am reminded of Brenda Bryant's Acrostic post called CHEMICAL WARFARE (April 1) this week at

I was told by a NYPD Community Services cop that this takes place in Union Square every year as a protest against the war. This year they have a permit!  For the past 15 years it has been a spontaneous event.

MONOCHROME MONDAY - SnoW THANKS!

That is the corner of 14th Street and 4th Avenue, viewing Union Square Park, NY from my 10th floor window on 12th Street

Today, the Empire State Building cannot be seen between the Zeckendorf Towers, overlooking Union Square

These buildings are on 12th Street - I am shooting ALL views, using my G7 Canon camera.
