A street installation on Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn. Artist's name unknown at the time of publishing this photograph. Unless that is his portrait on the right that is drawn in the center of the carpet.

Great shadows from the bike! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is much the same in London.
ReplyDeletereally like those cropped shots - I have just started biking here in Mexico City - now there's a hazard!!
ReplyDeleteI think it's the same everywhere, people just don't care anymore and are just plain rude to bicyclists...cool shots though!
ReplyDeleteWheels and pedestrians can lead to mishaps as the wheeled devices operate at mush faster speeds than the walkers. There are lots of buildings, so collisions can turned tubular metal into a pretzel like mass. All need to pay attention in a crowded NYC to move along safely...
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid cycling is hazardous in Canada too! Interesting street installation!
ReplyDeleteOver Front Door
:)
ReplyDeleteThis seems to be a universal problem! I wonder if the lower pictures are a sort of memorial to the person depicted?
ReplyDeleteNeat Shadow Shots. We think Phoenix is one of the most dangerous places to bike. Same with walking...lots of casualties.

ReplyDeleteSometimes I sneak out for a bike ride without wearing my helmet. Now after seeing these images I'll be sure not to cycle without my protective headgear firmly in place! I love what you find and share of NYC!
ReplyDeleteI just saw (tonight)on the local news that there was a blessing of the bicycles at St. John the Divine for a safe season of bicycling. It was pretty neat seeing the cyclists with their bikes inside the church. They even had a moment for all those who were the victims of accidents while cycling.
ReplyDeleteI love the sharp lines in your Shadow Shot photos!
ReplyDeletethe art work is wonderful
ReplyDeleteand your spoke shadows are great
I love your photos - and I don't have to worry about having an accident on a bike - I haven't cycled (except in the gym) since I was a child!!
ReplyDeleteInteresting installation. Bikers beware!
ReplyDeletethe artist is telling you not to cycle in New York? LOL
ReplyDeleteI been to New York a few times, and I can't imagine cycling in NY streets.
Interesting compositions!
