DO WE HAVE TIME TO STOP AND LOOK AT THE CONCRETE WORLD AROUND US REFLECTED IN MOTOR CAR WINDOWS?

THIS PHOTO OF A REFLECTION SEEN IN THE WINDSCREEN OF A PARKED CAR REMINDS ME OF A BUILDING BUILT BY FAMOUS ARCHITECT, Frank Gehry, IN PRAGUE, KNOWN AS THE 'RASIN BUILDING', OR THE 'DANCING HOUSE', AS SEEN BELOW -

I WISH Frank Gehry WOULD BUILD MORE OF HIS FINE IMAGINATIVE BUILDINGS HERE IN THE UNITED STATES!

What a very striking likeness. I agree unusual architecture is to be prized, but I wonder what it's like arranging the furniture inside!
ReplyDeleteI am so with you on Gehry's work!
ReplyDeleteLove it.
And good one for seeing the comparison.
I can see the association. What an extraordinary building. A whole terrace of such constructions would look like a fairy tale illustration.
ReplyDeleteI like his design for the Eisenhower Memorial and the Signature Center. The Guggenheim Abu Dhabi is perfectly set for beautiful reflections.
I've loved that funky dancing house since the first time I saw a picture of it. Your photo of the building reflected in the windshield is a pretty good approximation. Fun!
ReplyDeleteCreativity knows no bounds... Superb!

Who but you would spot a reflection in a car window of a NYC building, take the picture, think of Gehry and then find the picture of a Gehry building that gives credence to "life imitating art". Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWho but you would take a picture of a reflection of a NYC building in a car window, think of Gehry, and then find the perfect picture to illustrate your observation. Talk about life mimicking art! Wonderful, Margaret. Besides which, your composition is a work of art. Try sending it to Frank Gehry. I think he would be impressed, as was I.
ReplyDeleteNeat stuff Margaret. I wonder what one of Frank's buildings would look like reflected in a car window?
