SKYWATCH FRIDAY - GRAY
The sky is too gray for a jocular comment about what looks ominously like another rainy day to come.
Suffice to say, weather hugely influences how I begin my day - one photo is enough!
Do be cheered by visiting another post at SKYWATCH FRIDAY! PS Today, it is said that water is found on/in the moon.
A woodcut, 'That woman in Gray' (Mrs. Ramsay), one of a series of prints made, influenced by Virginia Woolf's novel, TO THE LIGHTHOUSE.

I do understand gray!! That's what we've got here today, along with rain and wind and it's cold! Ah, well, it's almost winter -- what do I expect???
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend and stay warm!
Sylvia
We had grey skies and much rain today though it was very mild. There are such subtle gradations of grey in your photograph.
ReplyDeleteIt seems odd that you are enveloped in Cold Grey as we're being inundated with dire warnings about heat-waves and bush-fires to come! I think the grey is more secure! However, 'Mrs Gray' is unknown to me. The almost central division in the work seems to suggest something about the character. Does it?
ReplyDeleteHey - that very book is sitting (unfinished)in a pile on my hall floor right now - too grey (gray) for me. I like your picture - lots of different shades - and moon water - how cool.
ReplyDeleteGray sky indeed.
ReplyDeleteI rather enjoy it!
Hard to get to your new blog --for some reason I get to the old one.
The print is very subtle and lovely.
I see there is to be a Virginia Woolf conference in England.
It does seem like everyone has some gray days and skies. I have some here today. Happy Skywatching.
ReplyDeleteok, a lot of gray skies about us. But sitll, you did it well.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend! My post is here: Cbanga360
Since you're in the same city I'm in I understand your gray sky! Thanks for commenting at my LATSOF post! I'm sorry you got "phished." I hope you're recovering...
ReplyDeleteYour gray skies are almost identical to what was over our area today, I know them well. The woodcut is very intriguing, so much to consider.
