From December 5th through February 16, 2004

This exhibit of 13 images selected from Blogs like WEEKEND REFLECTIONS, RUBY TUESDAY, AND SKYWATCH FRIDAY:  the photos were enlarged to sizes like 47"x 36" and 27"x 36", printed on canvas, then stretched to look like paintings.  Five have been sold, two of which have been selected for exhibition elsewhere.

SKYWATCH FRIDAY: ONE DAY LATER…..FOR THE RECORD -

The aftermath of today's sunrise, shot from my10th floor kitchen window in Manhattan at 7.15 am, is similar in texture to the sunset captured on Long Island in my last blog, Christmas evening.  Today, Saturday, it is 10 degrees cold and getting colder, and I have never before seen Con Ed's smoke look as black as this.

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY: A MEMORABLE SUNSET ON DECEMBER 25, 2013

 

       In retrospect, there was so much else to think about over the holidays, but I did manage to get a few shots of this fantastic sunset that occurred on Christmas night when walking the beach at Long Beach on Long Island, NY.   I have lived on Long Island for many years, never  before seeing a sunset like this one.  From beginning to end it was a remarkable event, yet so far I have seen no report of it.

RUBY TUESDAY TOO: NEW YEAR'S EVE, DECEMBER 31 2013, NEW YORK CITY, NY

                                                           Tonight the lights are twinkling and changing - the ESB changing
                                                              alternately from moving blues and reds above to white, below.

                                                                       Union Square has lost its 'i' in Union for the occasion…...

                                     
                                                                            And Con Ed is managing to alternate between a warm
                                                                            orange glow, sometimes turning to a friendly lavender!
